About National Health Careers Conference

The National Health Careers Conference 2022 is an opportunity for current and aspiring health and care professionals to explore all the opportunities the National Health Service (NHS) England has to offer by joining talks with health and care leaders, students and patients. 

The programme is supported by leading health and care organisations; – NHS England, NHS Health Education England and the General Medical Council.  

The event is tailored to the needs of our current and future NHS.

Live-Streaming at your place of learning or work

Who We Are

Health Careers Live is an award-winning not-for-profit programme led by healthcare students, professionals, patients and advisors. We are passionate about widening participation and diversity in the workforce. Health Careers Live empowers aspiring and current health and care professionals from all backgrounds to explore the variety of rewarding health roles, and ultimately, lead a fulfilling career in health and care. The initiative was the recipient of the Parliamentary Award – Health Equalities (NW) in 2020/2021.

Elliot

Elliot is a St George’s graduate currently working as an F1 Doctor in East London. As the first in his family to apply to university, Elliot is well aware of the barriers that can be faced in trying to get to medical school. He is passionate about widening access to medicine for underrepresented groups.
 
 He was the representative for St George’s on the BMA Medical Students Committee, and has done lots of work with local schools and colleges to raise awareness of medicine as a career, as well as working on admissions policies with the widening participation team St George’s. Elliot is part of the @BecomingaDr outreach team and National Health Careers Conference Team.
